"In the heart of the Sea" is inspired by Prophet Jonah (Yunus) and his experience of being swallowed by a great whale. In his near death experience he called out to God to ask for forgiveness and for help. God Almighty heard his prayer and saved him from the whale and the treacherous sea. The Arabic reads:
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
And he called out within the darkness, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
Quran (Surat Al-Anbiya: 87]
